MANUFACTURING EXCELLENCE

EOS TDX S

In its latest “S” evolution, the TDX continues its technical development while retaining its foundation: a chassis made entirely from 32 mm-diameter chrome-molybdenum tubing, available in Direct Drive, Shifter and DD2 configurations. Model Year 2027 brings significant updates, including HFT and HFZ stub axles, a new 180 mm floating brake disc and, for the geared version, a new chain tensioner. These solutions are part of a project developed in accordance with the high-quality standards that define OTK Kart Group manufacturing.

Shared technology

A PROVEN FORMULA

The TDX S joins the Typhoon TS, the benchmark model in the EOS Racing Kart range, and shares its main technical solutions while retaining its distinctive chassis made entirely from 32 mm-diameter tubing. In terms of components, the HFT and HFZ stub axles have been introduced for the Direct Drive and Shifter versions respectively, alongside the new 180 mm floating brake disc and, for the shifter version, a new chain tensioner. The M11 fairings and BWD and BWZ braking systems remain unchanged.

HFT and HFZ stub axles

IMPROVED DRIVING FEEL

The TDX’s “S” evolution introduces two different front-end solutions: HFT stub axles for the Direct Drive configuration and HFZ stub axles for the Shifter version. Both components have been developed to make the kart’s response more immediate and help the driver better understand its behaviour. This update contributes to improved drivability and allows the chassis to perform with greater versatility as track conditions change.

BWD braking system

LATE BRAKING FOR DIRECT DRIVE CLASSES

The BWD braking system, specifically designed for single-speed classes, is one of the defining features of the TDX S Direct Drive configuration. Its key components are the master cylinder and brake caliper, both made from top-quality materials carefully selected by OTK Kart Group’s R&D Department. The aim is to improve heat dissipation, significantly reduce brake-fluid temperature and provide the driver with consistent braking feel. Among the updates introduced with the “S” evolution is the adoption of a 180 mm floating brake disc, a solution that makes braking more effective and consistent over time while also helping to reduce brake pad wearing.

BWZ braking system

DESIGNED FOR SHIFTER

The BWZ braking system also originated from the project that led to the development of the BWD system for Direct Drive classes, and is specifically designed for shifter categories. Its main features remain unchanged, with a master cylinder and rear brake caliper that follow the same design philosophy as the single-speed version. The brakeforce distributor and front calipers have also been revised compared with the previous version, both in their forged and machined components. They now feature an innovative design, in line with the master cylinder and rear caliper, with optimized fins and thicknesses that further improve heat dissipation and structural rigidity. The BWZ version is also equipped with a 180 mm-diameter rear disc.

M11 fairing kit

DISTINCTIVE DESIGN

Aerodynamics plays an increasingly important role in karting. For this reason, OTK Kart Group’s R&D Department has devoted particular attention to this area, continually working to develop innovative solutions tested through computer-based CFD simulations, wind-tunnel testing and, finally, on-track testing. The M11 fairing kit, compliant with current FIA regulations, is the result of this development process. It includes a front number panel spoiler and front bumper, both featuring a new design, paired with M10.

Pedals and steering wheel

OPTIMISED DRIVING POSITION

The new TDX stands out not only for its many updates, but also for several established features. These include OTK Kart Parts’ fully adjustable pedals which, together with the inclined steering-wheel hub, ensure an optimal driving position and allow the seating position to be adjusted quickly and easily. The steering wheel also remains unchanged: the HGS model is retained, featuring a high-grip handle that significantly reduces effort while driving. Together, these features provide a driving position tailored to each kart driver’s needs.

DD2 version

DETAILS THAT MAKE THE DIFFERENCE

Like the Typhoon TS, the TDX S in its DD2 version adopts HFZ stub axles and the BWZ braking system with the new 180 mm-diameter floating brake disc. A removable support system for the exhaust support is specific to this chassis version.
